I too had to wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment due to "unforeseen circumstances" I had made this appointment way in advance! This was a special MRI and there was only a couple of places I could go to in the whole valley to get one. I actually showed up early hoping to get in early, so there was no way I was going to wait for 2 hours. I had to reschedule for another month! Since I had an appointment I should have been seen at the appointed time! When I came to my next appointment, I still had to wait, and the staff were indifferent and off putting. Now I have to go in and get a back x ray and Im looking for another place to go, because Im hoping that I never have to go here again!!

My boyfriend and I were very DisappointedOn sat oct 5th 2013 We went in for our first ultrasound we were excited all morning to finally see our baby for the first time, but things quickly changed the ultrasound lady was so rude she Said come on when it was our turn no hi no good morning no nothing, so we just kept our smiles on even though it was a little uncomfortable, as I layed down to finally get a glance at our child I couldn't see she had the screen completely out if my view when I asked can I please see what you are seeing, she rudely said if I turn it I can't not see what I am doing, this was a special time for us and I did not get to see any of it I laid there in mystery I didn't even get to here a heart beat, as everything was done I asked for some pictures she once again rudely said the babe is too small I couldn't see anything i am 17 weeks I pretty much had to beg for one shot even though she claimed it was hard to see I got a beautiful shot of a arm and hand as well as the face, over all my boyfriend and I were very upset this is a precious time for us and her negativity was very uncomfortable

Incredibly insensitive treatment

I recently had to undergo a pelvic ultrasound and was referred to Simonmed, Glendale location. I was told to drink 24 ounces of liquid in advance of the exam in order to ensure that my bladder was full. When I arrived at the testing facility, I checked in at 6 pm as instructed and told that my appointment was at 6:30 so I had about another 30 minutes to wait. At 6:35, I checked back to learn that the facility had to "work" some other patients in so my test would be delayed. I was somewhat concerned since I drank the liquids at 5:30 per the instructions. This did not seem to bother the facility that let me wait with full (very full) bladder until nearly 7:30 for the test. No one bothered to consult me about re-scheduling my test prior to my arrival - nor did they bother to mention the delay when I checked in. I registered my extreme dissatisfaction with the staff as I stood cross-legged in the waiting room hoping not to urinate on myself and being forced to be rather upset given my uncomfortable situation. I was given a business card with the name of Leigh D. Renner on it and was assured that the matter would be briefed with the staff. Apparently, again, no one felt the need to contact me to advise that my plight had been heard, or the matter reviewed. I am concerned that there does not seem to be many other "games" in town given how widespread Simonmed has become. Because, if no other real options exist, there will be no compassion or concern for a patient's comfort as Simonmed schedules whomever in without any regard to the difficulty caused to those already on the schedule.



I want to add that I have previously gone to this facility and received wonderful treatment - I hope this incident is truly an anomaly. But, since it really only has to happen once to someone to make an impact, I think it is best that other consumers know what they might expect. Advice: Ask that no one be "worked" in if you have some exam that requires you to maintain an uncomfortable state in anticipation of the exam. It is hard to imagine what condition would present at an ultrasound facility not connected to a hospital that would require that my exam be delayed nearly an hour, but that is what supposedly happened. I don't know if this might help, but perhaps if consumers let this business know that such treatment is not acceptable, it might cease.
