Glen Carbon School is one of the five primary schools operated by the Edwardsville Unit School District. It serves more than 350 students in prekindergarten through grade two. The school provides education in various subjects, such as English language arts, math, science and social studies. In addition to subject teachers, the school employs a psychologist, special education teacher, nurse and speech therapist. Glen Carbon School maintains a parent-teacher organization that sponsors educational and social programs to compliment the classroom curriculum. The academic institute has a media center that stocks books, periodicals and magazines and also offers an access to several educational and recreational Web sites. It is based in Glen Carbon, Ill.
