Established in 1893, the Virginia Bankers Association offers a range of counseling and support services to banks. It provides services in the areas of government affairs, legal solutions and employee benefits. The association also offers various educational and training programs. Its members include Acacia Federal Savings Bank, Access National Bank, First Capital Bank, Alliance Bank Corporation and Bank of the Commonwealth. The Virginia Bankers Association additionally publishes a magazine that is distributed to more than 2,600 members in the banking sector, including chief executive officers, presidents, directors and managers. The association manages a staff of project managers, counselors and support personnel. The Virginia Bankers Association is located in Glen Allen, Va.
