My first appt with Dr Billmayer was as enjoyable and professional as can be. She took adequate time to discuss my eyes, my current contacts, newer technologies, etc. As part of the evaluation, she discussed dilating my eyes, but asked first if my work day would accommodate it. My work load did not accommodate, so she suggested I come back at the end of the day and she would do it then. I appreciate her looking at my needs. I will not hesitate going back for future eye care needs. I also would gladly refer her to potential future patients.

Dr. Billmayer is a fantastic optometrist. I was impressed with the professionalism of her and her staff, the wonderful demeanor she has with both adults and children, and her knowledge of the eye care field. I highly recommend her as your family eye doctor.

I had informed Dr. Billmayer that dilating my eyes makes me incredibly sick and told her I did not want that done because I had tickets to a show that very evening. My husband was being examined at the same time I was and we both heard her say she didn't feel I needed to be dilated. She did say I needed moisture drops. After I picked out my glasses the assistant took me back for what I thought were moisture drops - they weren't. I was dilated against my wishes and spent the evening throwing up instead of going to my event. I later read where it is dangerous to dilate someone who experiences such nausea as it is a symptom of acute glaucoma which is a small risk of eye dilation. I really feel that it was unprofessional for her to go against my direct wishes and the way she went about it was unethical. On top of the events that occurred during the visit, when my husband went to pick up my glasses they charged me a materials fee on top of the $525 I had already spent. I have been to many
