Provided by YP.comAs a car guy, I often fear going to a new mechanic shop. This is due to the fact that many of these shops abuse vehicles in order for customers to return. I figure I would give Complete Automotive of Richmond a try, and I am glad I did. The customer service that I received in this shop was absolutely outstanding, as well as the speed process. I strongly believe that two of the most important aspects of a business have to do with customer service and timing. This is why fast-food restaurants are so successful, even though fast-food restaurants usually sell the worse food, fast food restaurants are still in high demand. I truly recommend this place for anyone who is looking to be taken seriously, as well as for anyone who is trying to solve their car issues with efficiency.

Provided by YP.comI will never go back! They said 1 and half hour to get oil change and state inspection. I waited
there more than 3 hours to get state inspection today.

Provided by YP.comWhat to say??? I used them for years and felt good knowing that I had a honest and reliable mechanic. I only ever dealt with Jason when I went in and he was everything you'd want.
My last experience was the ultimate horror story. I got an old Integra cheap and was looking to make sure it was safe to drive. I specifically went in complaining about the brakes. I got a call that night telling me it would be $475. I said OK.
The next morning at 8:30 I get a call telling me that it's now $1,600 and running... Naturally I'm a little flustered. I can't get a straight answer out of the guy on what this is even for. I call back later trying to smooth it over, and I get even less of an answer. They're wanting to do a bunch of maintenance stuff... Change timing belt, water pump, fuel filter, tires... For $1,600! On a '95 Integra. Then he starts telling me my car is a POS. Thanks.
And if that's not insulting enough, they tell me the brakes are just fine. I go in and pick up the car, and the guy I talked to (Bruce) actively ignores me, I paid my $30 for the "inspection", and no one even asked if I was satisfied.
I took the car to another mechanic and got the failing brake master cylinder replaced, the valve cover gasket done, and 2-3 other minor repairs for under $500.
The master cylinder was bad in this car. If I had trusted them when they told me the brakes were fine....
They tried to gouge me on price for work that didn't need to be done and overlooked a major safety issue with the car. On top of that even, Bruce was insulting and rude. Frankly, I feel they charged me $30 for an inspection that was not done competently.
It's truly a shame. For all of the times they've been great, they obviously don't have anything in place to keep the bad apples from ruining the entire bunch. I can't take my car to a mechanic I can't trust.
4190 Dominion Blvd Glen Allen - Ruined my Jeep! I took it back 5 times for them to fix what they did & was told each time it was fine, they couldn't find anything wrong. I've been back & forth with Tim Hopkins for over a year. I paid $1,500 for a front differential, they took good parts off without my knowledge unrelated to the repair they were doing & replaced them with bad parts, they put a differential on that was worse than the one I had on there originally, lied about what they did to my jeep, got their attorney to contact me to bully me into leaving them alone because I wanted my money back. They did over $3,000 worth of damage to my jeep & refuse to pay for it. Offered to pay for some of the repair after Pearson provided documentation backing up my claims but ONLY if I released them from ALL the damage they caused. Because I wouldn't release them from paying for all the damage they did, they refused to pay one penny. Had the nerve to tell me they would fix it after telling me for a year & looking at it 5 times that nothing was wrong with the work they did & it all met specs. Would you let a place that ruined your vehicle, lied about what they did to it, admittedly couldn't find anything wrong with it after looking at it & driving 5 times have another shot at your vehicle? Tim Hopkins owes me over $3,000 to repair the damage his shop did to my jeep & WILL NOT PAY it. Do NOT go here. Check out their other reviews, not the "tire" reviews, but "repair" reviews. Check out the complaints with the BBB & the AG. Read what they've done to people & how unethical they are & have no regard for the safety of their customers or others on the road proven by the way they take your money, ruin your vehicle & refuse to pay for it. If Tim would like to spew some type of lying response to this, I'll be happy to provide my email exchanges with Tim, the owner & his attorney to anyone who asks proving how these people operate & have trouble with the truth & lack integrity & ethics.

Provided by YPmobileI had a bad experience with them - they charge you excess than what they tell you ( not close enough to estimate) and they argue that they told everything upfront. Didnt seem to give good value for customer and they are unreliable.

Provided by YP.comI have been going to complete automotive for years and every time I had a issue they handled it quickly and I was always happy with the results. They actually try to help people save money vs. always trying to find issues with your car. In the beginning I always would get a second opinion and they were well below the cost of any other shop and were always honest. I trust them more then any automotive shop I have ever been to.
Thanks guys!

Dont trust !!!!!! I had my car there 2 days, the first day I waited 8 hour for them to find the part, they did not, I had to find the part and I did but it did not come in. Then I called again in the morning (they did drop me off). The part came in at 9:00AM (I was called by parts dealer) by 2:00PM my car was still sitting in the lot they put everyone that arrived that day in front of me. Then they attacted me for finding the part saying that it held them back and they should have charged me extra for it and that they won't put my car back in the garage. I had my tools with me expecting this by now, I ended up doing the work on my own it. In 15 min I had the part in, on the lot and drove to work. They charged me for the work they had done which was just a diag that I did not need. I told them what was wrong and was right and they took out the old pump. I had done everything else including gaining access to the pump. They ended up charging me for the install that I did.

Provided by YP.comThese guys are really good...i took my car as i was thinking i am having Some wobbling in my front wheel because of hitting the curbside. They inspected my car and provided any honest response stating nothing is wrong with the wheels and they did not charge me.
I would recommend this shop highly
I highly recommend this place, they are very friendly and great service at a great price. I got a inspection, new wipers, 2 new front struts, and an alignment all for 500. I will be doing all my automotive business with them.

Provided by YP.comI just had 4 new tires put on my car. During the process 4 of the lug nut studs were broken off. Ok. That might have been the fault of the previous owner from not threading them properly or over tightening. But $200 to fix that?!! On top of that, I go home and read over the paper work and it says that my rear wheels are bent (for bent wheels they sure do ride nice). Now why wouldn't they have told me that before they put brand new tires on them?!! So now I have to get two new wheels (that is if they are truly bent) have the tires put on them and have them rebalanced all over again. I gave them the one star only because of the price of the tires.
