John Wetten Elementary School is a part of the Gladstone School District and serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It provides various classroom teaching programs in developmental reading, phonics, writing and math skills. The school s curriculum also includes programs in vocabulary building, handwriting, arts, music, and health and safety. In addition, the school offers a variety of science and social studies sessions, including landforms, ecosystems, plant and animal adaptations, regions and geography of the United States. John Wetten Elementary Schools also features a range of health awareness programs over the spread of drug usage, dental development, basic nutrition and communicable diseases.
