We, my wife and I, visited this Perkins on Friday, May 2, 2008. This by far was the worst Perkins restaurant I have visited. I have come to know Perkins by my move to SD. My Sunday afternoon brunches were always on 41st street, Sioux Falls. The service and cleanliness were alway the best. Traveling home from NC I had the oppotunity to stop at this restaurant.

This restaurant was absolutely filthy, the service was slow ( the sign said hiring cooks and wait staff) I could look past the service due to short staffing needs but however I cannot look past the basic housekeeping and cleanliness. An example was the amount of dust that had accumulated on the backs of the benches, walls, and lights.

Another issue was employee hygiene. I was seated so that I could observe the kitchen. I watched one particular waiteress cough in her hands, process dirty dishes, and conduct other non food related duties as she made desserts for patrons. These desserts were made without any type of gloves or sanitary protection.

Summary: I would never eat here again. THIS IS BAD!

fast polite service, excellent food choices from a diverse menu of family style food. Bakery pies and goodies are the best in the north land.
