Brownell Middle School offers education to students in grades six through eight. The school's academic curriculum includes mathematics, social science, health education, science and physical education. Its parents club organizes various activities, such as fundraisers, ice-cream socials, science camps and dance programs. In addition, the school offers various sports activities that include basketball, cross country, wrestling, soccer and volleyball. It is a part of the Gilroy Unified School District, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools.
