Based in Gilberts, Ill., Engineered Ceramics has been manufacturing refractories for melting and transfer applications for more than 32 years. The company serves the investment casting industry by manufacturing refractory products, such as High Alumina (HYcor alumina) and MOR Shock Mullite sintering fixtures, tundishes, crucibles and specialty parts. It also produces heat treating furnace refractories for high-temperature furnaces and kilns. Engineered Ceramics is an ISO 9001/ANSI/ASQC Q9001 certified company. The firm operates an in-house mold shop and computer-aided design (CAD) department available for custom shapes and design assistance.
