ATTEMPTED ROBBERY ON SUPER BOWL SUNDAY @ SHIPLEYS.Super Bowl Sunday brought on an early morining attempted robbery by the owners of Shipleys themselves. An unsuspecting customer used his $5 off Entertainment Book coupon while purchaing a dozen kolaches and a dozen donuts. The owner tried to only discount the bill by $1.47 (one kolache). When the error was brought to their attention, they insisted only one would be discounted. When asked where their $5 kolache was, they were dumbfounded, but still refused to honor the coupon. The customer prompted cancelled the order and went down the street where he puchased a dozen kolaches from Daylight Donuts for a mere $9.90, which would have cost $17.64 at Shipleys. If your shopping here, always inspect your bill. It is not believed to be the first (or last) robbery attempt at this location.
