I am honored to have my daughter at such a beautiful school where the love of learning is encouraged in an inspired way on a daily basis. Actual knowledge can be given through multiple modalities, books, computers, lectures, etc, but love of learning is a very hard thing to pass along, and this is priceless. The guides at the school are selfless in their love of the children and their teaching of life skills and academic ones at a high level. It reminds me of the saying, 'give a man a fish and they will eat for a day, teach him to fish and he will eat for a lifetime'. CMS specializes in teaching children how to learn to learn in an independent manner, so through their guided lessons, they are shifting the impetus of learning from themselves to the children. Essentially, passing along all the tools for the students to be able to do everything for themselves, and creating lifelong inspired learners through an andragogical model where adults collaborate with children instead of ordering them around. This prepares children for the adult world so that they can be the creative leaders of tomorrow, quite literally teaching them to 'learn for a lifetime'. I couldn't be happier with the school or the guides.

My boys are going into their 2...

My boys are going into their 2nd year at CMS and my niece was there for ~4-years and my nephew is still there. This school is incredible and I don't completely grasp why the review are not all 5 stars as they should be.

This is a TRUE montessori and is AMI certified (International certification). The school grounds are on ~15 acres and each classroom is in it's own building.

The assistants and guides are all exceptional. They are truly guiding, nurtering and fostering the independence of my children.

I transitioned my boys from being at home with a nanny to the school at 18-months and am so thankful I did. My boys were ready for socialization and something different and I will forever be grateful to the start the school has given them. There is no other school in the area I would send my children to.

CMS is a wonderful learning environment. It is one of the few Montessori schools in the area that is accredited by AMI and the staff adheres to Maria Montessori's original principles. Our children have blossomed at the school and they are learning advanced level math, reading and science techniques at the elementary level. Most importantly, our children look forward to attending school each day and are excited to discuss their work when they come home from school. CMS fosters the love of learning in every child and is an excellent school. I would highly recommend CMS to anyone looking for a remarkable education for their child.

I have had my child in this school since she was 2 1/2 yrs old and she is now 7 and she has mastered cursive and reading chapter books. I trusted the process and didn't push my agenda on what I thought the process should be and the results have been fabulous. I can't say enough how wonderful this school!

We enrolled our son, now 4, in CMS in the fall of 2009, and weve been impressed with the school. CMS exemplifies and excels at everything we love and appreciate about the Montessori method of teaching children, fostering creativity and a love a learning while nurturing a childs sense of exploration and discovery. Not only has our child grown more independent and socially involved, but we believe CMS has contributed to his sense of self-worth and confidence.Further, CMS is a community of families which are all involved and committed to making the school the best it can be. CMS is accredited with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).

My son is in his 3rd year of the Primary program at Community Montessori School in Georgetown. We live in Round Rock and it's really convenient for us. There are closer schools that use the name "Montessori" but a little research showed that they were not really following Montessori principles. It looks like anybody can call themselves Montessori. Community Montessori is the real deal and you will be able to tell that it's different from the others just by driving up to the campus. It's really beautiful! Each class has its own garden that the children tend. The playground is gigantic and shaded by trees and has a hand-made wooden playscape and playhouse. It's nothing like the concrete and plastic stuff you see at other schools. The faculty are amazing. My son's guide and assistant are truly gifted. I joke that his guide is a cross between Mary Poppins and Mother Theresa. We are in contact frequently and are truly partners in my son's education.

My daughter attends this wonderful school on 18 acres in SE Georgetown. She has blossomed into a caring, thoughtful 6-year old through the steady guidance and dedication of her teachers and assistants. The school enjoys lots of involvement of parents, and that community is part of the charm of CMS. The school has programs for students through sixth grade age and is exploring adding an adolescent community. At CMS my daughter's reading is amazing, she's doing long division (remember, she's six!), and has devloped an amazing level of respect and care of her environment. Here, the children develop a love of learning and exploration that serves them throughout life. I'll have my not-so-little one here for as long as possible!!
