Formed in 1895, the Geneva Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency services and various community education programs. It conducts public education programs for school children and preschool participants. The department employs various full-time and paid-on-call firefighters and rescue operators. The Geneva Fire Department utilizes a fleet of ambulances, engines and trucks. It is recognized by the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.
