In 1986, Dr. Kitahata completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illiniois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL and holds a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University of Chicago in Psychology. Dr. Kitahata is Board Certified through the American Board of Optometry and has Certifications in the use of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents for the treatment of Ocular Diseases. His other Specialties include fitting of All types of Contact Lenses, Management/Treatment of Ocular Diseases, Dry Eyes, Mac Degeneration, Diabetes, Glaucoma, Cataracts and Refractive Surgeries such as LASIK. Dr. Kitahata is a member of the American Board of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association and the Fox Valley Optometric Society.

I Just had the best Exam ever..... Dr. K. examined my eyes and told me things I never hear from my other eye exams. I have been to several Eye doctors before, but never had an eye exam like this one. He not only listened to my concerns, but took an overall interest in my other medical conditions and explained how they are related to my eyes.
Vicky was also great and very helpful from making the appt. to follow up visits.
I would definitely recommend Dr. K and his staff for all of my Eye Care.....
