My wife and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Gastonia just last week (September 2007). We found the staff very friendly and helpful and the room very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, something very important to us since my wife has back problems. The room was quiet, even though we had a few high school sports teams on the same floor for some big playoff in Gastonia that week.The free complimentary breakfast was particularly good, with staff standing-by to clean up and to resupply. They actually had microwavable breakfast sandwiches which were pretty good and somewhat of an upgrade from typical continental Breakfast fare. Thank you Fairfield Inn for a very enjoyable stay.
