      General Info
      Mid Carolina Cardiology is one of the largest cardiovascular groups in North Carolina and South Carolina. It was established in 1994 through the merger of Mecklenburg Cardiovascular Consultants and Cardiology Consultants of the Carolinas. The group utilizes ECIS2001, GEMMS flagship product, which is an electronic clinical information and practice management system. The product includes scheduling, patient demographics, clinical encounter data entry and documentation, billing and collection. Mid Carolina Cardiology employs a work force of more than 30 staff members, including physicians, assistants, certified nurses and aides. It maintains a department of research that works for the advancement of the science of cardiovascular medicine.
