      Founded in 1986, R.E.D.S., also known as Rescue Extrication Delivery Specialists, offers persons search and swift water, dive and recovery, confined space, trench, structure collapse and animal rescue assistance services. The team provides training sessions to fire departments, rescue squads, law enforcement agencies, and military, industrial and manufacturing companies. The team has affiliations with the N.C. Association of Rescue and EMS, North Carolina Search and Rescue Advisory Council and Wake County Rescue Chiefs Association. R.E.D.S. organizes public safety days, parades, scouting events and demonstrations. It has a team of technician, fire, specialist, hazmat and law enforcement instructors who offer classes on public safety.
