The attitudes of the staff are very poor for customer service. Also Tina Scott masquerades as a doctor (wearing a lab coat) she is an NP and she has a very negative disposition (not what you would expect from someone in the healthcare industry, dealing with people all day long). She behaved in a sarcastic, bitter and sour manner. If this had been a one time thing, I wouldn't have been concerned, but I went to her for several years and she was like this every visit. Finally, my last visit was the final straw. We were discussing an injury that I had in my shoulder and I was describing volunteer work that I do on the weekend and that we have an upcoming fund raiser for this cause. Her response: ""Well, I guess they will raise money for ANYTHING."" In any situation if someone tells you they do volunteer work and are working on a fund raiser ? obviously its something they care about. If you are?nt into the cause all you have to do is say nothing. She was not capable of that. She has terrible social skills and should not be in a customer service industry. This practice recently put in an electronic answering system for their phones that leaves you on hold for 45 minutes. RUN away!!!

I've never had an issue with wait times here, if I have had an appointment at most I have waited 10 minutes past that appointment. My family has been coming here for years with no issues. The wait staff is always nice, and the nursing staff is always very professional. I've seen a lot of whining about this place from other posters, but people tend to go out of their way to be negative about something. I suggest GFP to anyone looking for a permanent and convenient place for a doctors office.

Wait times are lengthy in both the waiting room and the exam rooms - if you have to bring your small children along please keep this in mind.
The office staff could use a refresher in care, compassion, and concern - especially concern for private patient information (no one in the waiting area needs to know my home address, telephone number, or insurance carrier).
The staff are not rude, but they are not successful in hiding their boredom, keeping their private conversations and personal opinions/problems/viewpoints from being heard by every patient not suffering from age related hearing loss. They could also smile a bit more, look the patients in the eyes a bit more, and wait until one patient has walked away from the desk before interacting the the next person in line. They mean no harm; they are just so apathetic.
Hold times on the phone are upwards of 5 minutes - this is BEFORE you even speak with a real person.
One NP suggested I take Pepto - while I was suffering pregnancy sickness (I was being seen by her for an issue unrelated to the pregnancy). For those unaware please be advised that products containing aspirin should never be taken by a pregnant woman, and if it IS necessary then it should be handled by the woman's OB.
Mention that you do not celebrate Christmas or Easter due to your not being a Christian (when asked by a doctor or NP what your family plans involve for the upcoming holiday) and the chit-chat suddenly dies a terrible and awkward death. Then come the strange reassurances that my personal belief is valid, and has a purpose in the world. That, or they ""know someone who knows someone"" that celebrates ""differently"". This is more apt to happen if you're seen by one of the older gentleman doctors. It's sad.
Also, at least two of the docs share a little too much in regards to their churches - I respect an individual's belief and choice of worship/non-worship, but I don't appreciate having a professional assume that I, their patient, share their views and care to hear them essentially toot their philosophical/religious horn. Their love of their deity is wonderful, and I am glad that it brings them peace and joy, but it's totally irrelevant to the business at hand.
I've been a patient since 2003 ONLY because it's close and I only go if I need meds for a cold or sinus infection, etc. Now that Garner is growing there is another choice of GP. Time will bring in more choice, and I see this practice losing most patients who are not senior citizens (as they have patients who are older and may have never used the Interweb)

I do no recommend this office. They are never on-time even if you have an appointment; I find myself waiting in he waiting area for 30+ minutes only to go back to a room to wait for almost another 30+ minutes to see the doctor. The staff at the front desk are rude and will only be nice if you bring a goodie (I heard one specifically state this to someone who brought Bojangles to the office. They have been unprepared for appointments and they don't seem to care about their patients, which is why I've pulled my whole family from this office. They've also violated HIPPA by calling somone on my emergency contact to confirm appts and answer questions; never tried to call me only someone they weren't - that had no business knowing. I've found another office with friendly staff that genuinely cares.

worst doctor I've ever been to. Very rude and makes false assumptions. He asked me a question and then told me he had others waiting and didn't give me a chance to explain what he asked me. He told me without my other doctor's notes he couldn't do anything for me. I was referred to this supposed doctor from a neurosurgeon to oversee my care for chronic pain due to a neck injury from years ago. He told me up front that if I was there for narcotics to find another doctor for pain. I told him I was there because another doctor referred me and I didn't need any narcotics or pain relievers at that time. Told me he didn't read mri's and he didn't care what I said it was irrelevant without the notes from my other doctor. He was basically a smartass to me whole time I was there. I will take his advice on one thing, I'll find another doctor.
