The City of Gardena Public Works Department operates and manages administration, engineering, and park and street maintenance divisions. Its engineering division is responsible for the drafting and drawing of city development plans. The department also offers a range of maintenance services for city-owned parks and pool complexes. It also offers weed abatement and control, tree trimming and graffiti removal services. Additionally, the department is responsible for the recycling of aluminum cans, drinking glasses, plastic containers, newspapers, cardboards, cereal boxes and motor oil.
