On February 8, 2013, my wife and myself went to Dr. Johannes at the Garden City Vision Source/ Johannes Family Eye Care for our annual exam and to purchase new glasses. Service was somewhat slow but appeared to be decent. We were told that 7 to 10 days on our glasses. I purchased one complete set with new frames and a set of special computer lenses to replace an existing pair. My wife purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses. 10 days came and went and I did not hear anything from Johannes. I called and was informed that the lenses for the existing glasses were in but that my new ones had to be sent back as they did not fit the frame I had purchased. (I do not know why the frames were not sent in originally). I was also told my wife's glasses were in. We went to pick up the glasses and found that when they ordered my wifes' sun-glasses they did not request a tint. Now the sun-glasses had to be sent back. On February 28 I again called and was told that my new glasses were there but were not checked in. I received a call on the afternoon of Feb. 28 telling me I could come and pick up my glasses. No sun-glasses for my wife. On March 1, 2013 while watching a play, my glasses fell off of my nose. Upon looking at the glasses the nosepiece had fallen off. It is now March 4, 2013. I returned to Mr. Johannes' office and asked to speak to him. I was told to have a seat then was ushered back into an examining room. As I sat in the examining room waiting on Mr. Johannes it became very apparent he really did not feel an importance to talk to me. I then went to the receptionist and informed them that since Mr. Johannes had no interest in talking to me they could take my broken glasses back and cancel my wife's sun-glasses. I told them to BE SURE my insurance and credit card were credited back. At this point Mr. Johannes came into the receptionist and very nu-concerned and nu-apologetic stated that he would return the glasses and make sure everything is credited.
