Lakeview Academy, located in Gainesville, Ga., is an independent, college preparatory day school. It was founded in 1970 by a group of parents and community leaders to provide comprehensive college preparatory education. The school s campus is spread on an area of more than 80 acres. Its facilities consist of lower, middle and upper school buildings, lower school gymnasium, and athletic and student centers. Lakeview Academy is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools and Georgia Independent School Association. It is also a member of the Georgia High School Association, Southern Association of Independent Schools and National Association of Independent Schools.
