Hall Area Transit is a public transportation system serving Gainesville and Hall County, Georgia, since 1983. It aims to provide affordable public transportation that will assist the public to access jobs, retail shops, medical/dental offices, social service agencies, recreational facilities, government offices, and other important community sites. Hall Area Transit also helps to reduce traffic congestion and decrease air pollution levels by encouraging the public to consider alternatives instead of driving in single occupancy vehicles.
