Gainesville Middle School is a public coeducational school that provides education to students in grades six through eight. It offers various programs, including the classical studies, the Earth Quest, humanities, Exploratories and transition. Its earth quest academy program offers courses in various aspects of ecology. It offers courses in various subjects, including English, foreign languages, history, math, science and social studies. It also offers technology, and physical and special education programs. It also provides elective courses in arts, band and chorus. The school also has a library and media center with a large collection of books, electronic resources and Internet access. Its athletic programs include cross country, basketball, wrestling, cheerleading, tennis, golf, soccer, baseball, and track and field. The school is a part of the Gainesville City Schools and is located in Gainesville, Ga.
