My car was in this lot and I went in a little before 5pm, like 4:48pm to release my car from repossession. My bank and the company that handles the repo release advised me this Thursday morning (07/11/19) that my car was released and ready for pick up. When I arrive to the lot, the lady in the front didn’t seem too interested in helping me and when she asked for my information I provided her with it and she tells me that the car isn’t ready for release and that they close at 5pm. I told her I would call American Recovery and see what the issue is. My thought at this time was that if it’s not ready for release maybe I could’ve at least got my belongings out the car, since I’m already there. As i’m on the phone on hold the lady steps out to walk a dog, it’s about 4:53pm now, I’m on the phone and when I get through I walk outside to try and get the ladies attention which she disregarded and walked right by me straight to the back through the back door. When she stepped back in the building, I asked her if I can get my belongings out of the car and she’s like no we close at 5pm, (by now it’s 5pm), I was a little upset because I’m like if I’ve been here in the building before 5pm I don’t see why it would’ve been a problem to get my items out of the car. If she didn’t want to help or wanted to go home she could’ve made that more clear and just advised me to come back tomorrow. While I’m stepping out the building she advised me to get out because they are closed, which I was doing. Meanwhile, I’m still on the phone with American Recovery and they notified that the car has been released since yesterday afternoon. Anyways, the lady was very rude from the beginning and it wasn’t necessary, if the business is closed by 5pm and I’m already there I think I could’ve been assisted but maybe she was a racist white lady or she wanted to go home. It was a horrible experience overall from when you walk in.
