Founded in 1938, Shaft Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency services. Its equipment includes trucks, pumpers, tankers, engines, brush vehicles and various utility vehicles. The company organizes fundraising and Mother s Day programs and games and employs more than six line officers. Shaft Fire Department receives donations and also conducts meetings and drilling sessions. It is located in Frostburg, Md.
