Shawnee Trail Elementary enrolls more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school provides academic instruction in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. It additionally conducts classes in art, music, and health and physical education. Shawnee Trail Elementary offers after-school child care services in partnership with the YMCA. It has a student council and offers the English as a Second Language program. The school also offers a dyslexia program and bilingual education. Shawnee Trail Elementary offers a preschool program for children with various disabilities. In addition, it provides gifted and talented education.
