Comstock Resources is an independent energy firm based in Frisco, Texas. The company is engaged in oil and gas acquisitions, exploration and development. Since 1991, Comstock has acquired more than 650 billion cubic feet equivalent of proven oil and gas reserves in nearly 30 transactions. It also owns interests in 1,000-plus producing wells and performs drilling activities. The wells are primarily located in Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. It conducts exploration initiatives to find additional reserves in core operating regions. Comstock Resources targets acquisitions that have low operating costs.
