Located in Modesto, Calif., The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District is a public health agency and is one of the leaders in air-pollution control. It offers customer service for stakeholders in activities, including rule/ plan development, permitting/ emissions inventory functions, compliance activities, financial and grant-funding transactions, among others. The District is made up of eight counties in California s Central Valley that include San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare and the San Joaquin Valley Air Basin portion of Kern.
