Steinbeck Elementary School, established in 1995, is a learning center that is governed by the Central Unified School District, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. It enrolls more than 700 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school operates departments, including language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. It offers a variety of services, such as food, medical care and transportation services. The school operates clubs, including art, drama and literacy. It also provides a range of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, softball, and track and field.
