Western States Glass is a wholesale distributor and fabricator of glass products for buildings. The company was formed in April 1991 by three working partners --- with the combined total of 75 years experience in the glass industry --- who felt they could service the San Francisco Bay Area glass shops better than dominant corporate alternatives. Today, Western States Glass employs more than 165 people, owns its own fleet of delivery trucks and trailers for rapid product delivery, and has built a reputation for responsiveness and for providing critical technical guidance to customers --- to help them make the right choices from the many types and combinations of glass available. Environmental control and energy conservation has made double glazing the preferred method of construction in residential and commercial applications. As a custom manufacturer of both new and replacement units, Western States Glass provides the finest insulated glass products available. Our units are comprised of two or more lites of glass separated by a hollow metal air spacer --- hermetically sealed with an organic compound to keep the airspace free of moisture, and containing absorbents to prevent fogging of the unit in cold weather. We can offer a variety of glass types, internal grids and spacer combinations to suit your application, with full adherence to current safety codes. The latest Dual Seal and Warm Edge technologies are also available. We use modern Italian grinding, edging and beveling equipment to produce specialty decorative glass with a wide variety of brilliant edges and different shapes. Drilling, notching and mitering are also available to satisfy both normal and unique job requirements.
