General Info

Dr. Vivian Y. Kim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and one of eight partners at EYE-Q. She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and trained at University of Pennsylvania’s Scheie Eye Institute. She also completed a two-year vitreo-retinal fellowship at the internationally renowned New England Eye Center at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. An Ivy Leaguer, Dr. Kim completed her undergraduate studies at Yale University. She also earned her Master’s in Public Health from Tulane’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Kim’s areas of expertise include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments and other vitreo-retinal disorders. Away from the practice, Dr. Kim is highly involved in the arts. She is a competitive ballroom dancer, a concert classical pianist as well as an aficionado of classical music and opera.
