I just attended the graduation for this school's eighth grade class as a guest of someone. I have never seen such a caring group of teachers administrators, students. Everyone seemed genuinely thrilled and from what I saw from the yearbook and in speaking with people, everyone had only high comments. Many of the graduates got into the specialized high schools and I was amazed at the subjects they had studied at this school. From my experience there I would highly recommend this school.

The school offers many extras not found in public schools. Physical Education, Music, and special activities make it a great all around school. The classes are small, the teachers know everything about every child, and the children are happy, which makes for a perfect setting.

The New Highland School facility includes well equipped attractive classrooms, library, science laboratory, art studio and full gymnasium. The heart and soul of the school, though, is more than the bricks and mortar. Differences between schools are rooted in the philosophy of education and the relationship between those who teach and those who come to learn. There is a choice between the public school system, with a few good schools but many political and budgetary problems, and a carefully chosen private school that has proven its ability to excite, motivate, and challenge students to achieve their fullest potential. The Highland tradition of private education is dynamic, sensitive to the needs of the individual student, and realistic enough to prepare for the educational career challenges that lie ahead.
