Washington Health is committed to meeting the needs and challenges of this diverse and growing community. The emergency room is available to the community 24 hours a day and includes a level II trauma center. The health system serves the residents of Fremont, Newark, Union City, parts of South Hayward and unincorporated Sunol. The district’s population is more than 320,000 and encompasses approximately 124 square miles of Southern Alameda County. As the local health care district, our mission is to meet the health care needs of district residents.
