I'm writing this review regarding the service I received at the Urbana Pike office Frederick MD. The ladies at the front desk were not polite, friendly or even knowledgeable. The Nurse Practitioner I met with was very rude. She fits well with the overall feel of this office (Not Good). I placed a call earlier morning requesting a doctor's note and I still have not heard back from anyone as of yet. If you are looking for a professional PCP office this is not the one for you.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bolarum for several years. He's a very caring doctor, very thorough, establishes a personal relationship, and will discuss any questions I have. 1 year ago he recommended I get a stress test done due to a slight abnormality on my EKG, that turned up a coronary artery problem that has been treated and probably saved me from having a heart attack so I'm grateful. BUT....his office has become busier and busier, I now have to wait routinely at least 30 to 45 minutes after my appt. time to be seen, I'm not happy about that. My biggest complaint is that when I have a prescription that needs authorization for a refill and the pharmacy calls it in, it gets ignored until I'm completely out of medication and have to call it in myself. No exeptions, this happens every time. So, Dr. Bolarum gets 5 stars, but his practice only 3 due to disorganization and inefficient office staff. I'm considering finding another primary care doctor due to this.

Ive been a patient of Dr.Bolarum's for 4 years. It wasn't the best at the beginning but after he hired Erica his officeeither blossomed very quickly. It was a great until I went in and had to wait a hour and then the Dr wasn't even in the office. The PA was clueless and when I asked to speak to Erica the office manager I was told she was no longer working there. Well needless to say I found another Dr ASAP! That office is a zoo and no one there has a clue about anything! Save your time. Your better off going to the local clinic!

Dr. Bolarum's office is the best. I can always get a same day appt. I have a great relationship with his office manager and while setting in his office it's apparent all the patients do. Besides the doctor she seems to be the only one that has any medical knowledge in that office. She's also the only stable employee in the office. Which is fine because she makes everything happen there. The lady at the front desk is the worse. She cant even write the appointment cards correctly. If you go with this office your making a great choice. The doctor and his office manager is the best. Just over look the rest of his staff.

Dr. Bolarum has been my PCP for 3 years. I'm always seen very close to my scheduled appt. time, sometimes even taken early. He's very thorough and compassionate, takes time to talk with me in a personal and caring way, I feel he is truly caring about my health and wants to establish a good patient/doctor relationship.

The intake nurse smokes and reeks of cigarettes. As an asthma patient I find this puts me in the awkward postion of requesting another intake room. the CRNP in this practice is terrific and appointments are easily obtained, however there isd no separation of sick patients and well patients which winds up that I have a cold or infection within a week of most appointments. Could be an ideal paractice but not very patient oriented.
