Gales Houses is a nonprofit organization that has been providing extended care residential treatment services since 1976. It offers care services for alcohol and drug dependent adults with complex recovery issues. The organization provides treatment programs for individuals who need resources and support for identifying and healing issues that jeopardize sobriety and personal growth. Gales Houses features the Olson House, which can accommodate more than 20 adult men. It also includes the Gale House, which can accommodate over 10 adult women. The organization provides case management, problem solving therapy, and individual and group counseling services. It offers life skills training, relapse prevention, family counseling and recreational services. Gales Houses is a part of the Maryland Association of Alcohol and Drug Continuing Care Facilities.
