i.e., A local favThis daycare is very poorly run. It is always understaffed and has more kids than the state limit in the rooms. It is in great need of fixing up; the nap time mats are ripped and poorly taped. The playground has regular garden mulch that sticks to the kids and gets in their diapers and clothing. It has very few toys, and the ones it does have are old and broken. The owner is hardly ever there and when she is, she has no idea what's going on. They never go on field trips or do anything special for the kids. Everything has to be donated by parents; the owner won't contribute to the business. It's a shame because the place has some very nice teachers, but they can't be recognized for their efforts because of all these other things.
