Con-way Freight-Central previously operated under the name Con-way Central Express, which consolidated with Con-way Southern Express and Con-Way Western Express to form Con-way Freight. With a fleet of more than 32,000 trucks, tractors and trailers, Con-way Freight provides 60,000 regional and interregional less-than-truckload shipments a day throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. The company s 20,000 employees and 450 service centers continue to be organized in the original Central, Western and Southern divisions. Con-way Freight is a subsidiary of Con-Way, a leader in the supply-chain management industry. Founded in 1983, Con-way Freight-Central operates more than 200 service centers, including one in Franklin, Wis.
