Nutro Products was founded in 1926 and in 1985 introduced its MAX line of products to the market. The MAX formula of chicken, lamb and rice proved attractive to both breeders and retailers and helped Nutro Products grow from a regional business to a national company whose products are available at more than 12,000 pet food, feed and pet supply stores throughout the United States.
