- Sports MedicinePrior to joining Nantahala Physical Therapy, Shannon worked in Charlotte for Carolinas HealthCare System at Carolina Rehabilitation – Pineville. Her experience includes treating patients with orthopedic and sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation and general neurological rehabilitation. She also has previous work experience with Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center – CompRehab Plaza in Winston-Salem where she helped develop the WFUBMC Osteoporosis Wellness Program.
- Physical TherapyNantahala Physical Therapy is owned by Physical Therapist Randy Phillips and his wife, Molly. Formerly Franklin Physical Therapy, NPT was originally located inside the Franklin Health and Fitness Center. In 2007, Randy and Molly purchased the clinic from local physician Ed Morris. They built what is now the current location in 2013.
- Aquatic TherapyAquatic Therapy combines the benefit of exercise with buoyancy and resistance of heated water to create a controlled, productive environment for rehabilitation.
- Manual TherapyCharlotte’s is also certified through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities in Orthopedics and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Certified Health/Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She has completed extensive course work in manual therapy of the spine and pelvis and female and male pelvic floor rehabilitation, which includes pelvic incontinence, pain, and chronic constipation issues.
