David and Debbie Brown have owned and operated the Donahue-Stangle-Brown Insurance Agency since 1979. David has been a licensed agent since 1977 and began his career as a producer with an agency in Wilmington, Ohio. In September 1979, they purchased the Donahue Agency from Mack Donahue and moved to Ross County from Blanchester, Ohio. They moved to the Frankfort area in 1983 where they raised their two children, Jason and Julie, who both work in the agency. In 1993, David and Debbie acquired the Stangle Agency in Frankfort. This agency was formerly the Carl M. Lee Insurance Agency. Mr. Lee founded the agency in the early 1950's and it was located in the Lee's home just outside of Frankfort. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lee were licensed agents. In the early 1970's, they sold the agency to James Stangle. He moved the office to Frankfort. In 1995, David and Debbie merged the Donahue-Brown Agency and the Stangle Agency at the present location at 20 N. Main St., Frankfort. In 1996, David and Debbie purchased the Cope Insurance Agency located in Greenfield, Ohio from Mark Cope. The Cope Insurance Agency was appointed with Grange on August 1st, 1948. The Donahue-Stangle-Brown Insurance Agency and Cope Insurance Agency are independent agencies that writes all lines of insurance including, but not limited to auto, home, farm, business, commercial and life insurance in Chillicothe, Ohio and surrounding areas. The agencies are members of the Professional Insurance Agents Associaton, the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce and the Highland County Chamber of Commerce. We have a professional and knowledgeable staff. Jason Brown graduated from Adena High School and has a business degree from Ohio University. He has his Property and Casualty license along with Life and Health license and brings 17 years of experience to the table. He also earned his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. A CIC designation is the undisputed professional credential for insurance agency and company personnel. Because of its unparalleled standards, CIC has become the nation’s premier designation program for insurance professionals! Julie Brown graduated from Adena High School in 1997 and a graduate of Wright State University. Julie is currently employed at our Frankfort location, Donahue-Stangle-Brown Insurance Agency. She started working within the agency in 2007, became licensed in property and casualty in 2008. She went on to earn her CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) in 2012.
