The Division of Family Support is governed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The division administers electronic benefit transfer card, food stamp and low income home energy assistance programs. It manages the Community Services Block Grant. The Division of Family Support also conducts the Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program. It maintains a family self-sufficiency branch that serves various public agencies and community organizations. The division operates a medical support and benefit branch that is responsible for developing procedural instructions and forms for the Medicaid Program. The Division of Family Support has a nutrition assistance and accountability branch that develops procedural instructions for food stamp program.
