- Dental Examination
- X-raysWe will complete an in-depth medical and dental health history and a thorough examination to measure for bone loss, loose teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, TMJ and other signs of periodontal disease. Please bring your dental x-rays from your general dentist including any information that they may have given you (a referral slip).

- Fillings
- CrownsCrown lengthening (or crown exposure) is required when your tooth needs a crown or other restoration. The edge of that restoration is deep below the gum tissue and not accessible. This can usually be done on the same day that you see us for your exam. Please let us know if you are taking aspirin or blood thinners prior to your procedure.
- Periodontal SurgeryWhen gum pockets do not resolve with non-surgical treatment, periodontal surgery results in reduced infection and diminished pocketing. When possible, we utilize advanced bone regeneration techniques to save your teeth.
- Deep Cleaning
- DenturesPeriodontal disease is a progressive, painless infection. Delay can cause you further bone loss and treatment may be more expensive. Furthermore, implant placement will be compromised as bone loss continues. If your teeth are lost, dentures are never as effective as your own teeth.
- Dental ImplantsDr. Robert Walsh and Dr. Patrick Shannon specialize in periodontics with a strong practice in implantology. Our practice specializes in non-surgical and surgical treatment of gum disease including cosmetic procedures to aesthetically enhance your smile and dental implants that can replace single or multiple missing teeth. We also diagnose and treat oral pathology.
