This is the best karate club. The owner and head instructor is a retired grade school teacher. He knows how to teach. He also teaches an accredited self-defense class at McHenry County College.They teach Shotokan Karate. They have classes for students with different abilities. They offer families a golden opportunity to learn together. The price of learning karate at this club is very reasonable. They use a stripe system for assessing and advancing students. When a student has earned four stripes, he/she is ready to test for the next belt. The fourth stripe will not be awarded unless the student is ready to advance to the next rank. That means that students that tests for the next belt will probably get that belt. They won't test a student who isn't ready. They won't play power games with their students and embarrass the student by failing him/her on a belt exam.This is a community program. The teachers are from Cary and Fox River Grove. They are members of national organizations.
