Founded in 1954, West Handley Elementary School is a learning facility that provides a range of educational services for students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It features an art room and library. The school is a part of the Fort Worth Independent School District, which enrolls more than 80,000 students in elementary, middle and high schools. The district also operates Metro Opportunity School, Success High School and Horizons Alternative School. The Fort Worth Independent School District s schools operate parent-teacher organizations. Its schools academic curricula include English, math, library, social studies and technology education.
