General Info

My preschool program is fun, interactive and catered to your child. Your child will experience: hands on learning experiences, daily individual lessons, educational technology and lots of field trips. This program is created to feel like your child has the specialized education of a private tutor with the socialization of school and the comforts of home. I have 10 years of child care and teaching experience. I provide a preschool curriculum that will ensure your child is Kindergarten ready. There is daily 1 on 1 learning time and each child has an individualized plan to meet their needs and achieve child specific goals. All lessons are quick and simple. The day is fun, interactive and play centered. I use a lot of music and hands on activities. A typical day includes 2 walks to the park to play, reading time, writing time, math time, a science experiment, dramatic play (playing fire station, doctor, house etc...), educational computer games, music, art and several free play times and a Preschool level Taekwon Do lesson. On Tuesday we visit the Library for story time and each child can check out 2-3 books of their choice. There will be monthly field trips to places like the zoo, aquarium, Jump for Fun, Grapevine train station, Museum etc... I provide 2 snacks a day and ask that parents provide lunch and breakfast. What you can expect from me - I send a weekly update email every Friday afternoon that lets you know what your child has been up to that week and what your child will be doing next week. I also send you pictures from the week on Fridays. I will work with you to make sure your child is learning and working toward goals you have for your child, which can include things like manners and potty training. I want your child to love learning and to have fun exploring the world around them. You are free to email me any time and your child will have a daily folder that goes home so if we can't talk at the door most of what happened that day will be in their folder. I offer specific preschool hours for parents only interested in the preschool program. Monday - Friday 9 am - 2:30 pm. I do offer full time and part time options. *Notes: I have 2 large, friendly dogs who are used to and good with children. The dogs are kept in their kennel or outside while the children are here.
