Patton Landscape, 2909 W. WashingtonCenter Road in Fort Wayne, delivered and planted two trees for me 2+ years ago. The young man that planted them did an excellent job and both trees are thriving. Last year I had some older trees removed so I once again visited Patton Landscape on 3-29-20 to find replacement trees. I dealt with Rick Patton this time. Previously a lady had handled my purchase and the planting of my trees and everything went well. This time I was led on a wild goose chase by Mr. Patton, who argued, barked and complained about every customer he had served in his entire lifetime. I ignored him as best I could. I wanted to purchase trees and to get them planted. I picked one tree that I liked (a river birch) and then walked around his grounds looking for a Colorado blue spruce. There weren't any that I liked so he suggested a Black Hills spruce and told me that he was expecting a truck around the first week of April with some new trees and I would have a better selection. All during these conversations he was gruff and belligerent, but I was determined to find the trees I wanted. I came back on April 10 and he said the truck(s) didn't arrive because everything was screwed up due to the coronavirus pandemic. He was again making negative comments continuously about anything and everything, but I played along just to get my trees and be done. He said to come back in a couple weeks and they should have the trees. I came back on 4-24 and as I was there a truck did arrive and all the workers were involved in unloading the truck, so I told them I would return the next day. Bear in mind that Patton was offering a "buy one tree, get one free" special thru the end of April. When I arrived Saturday, Rick Patton came outside from the office area and I asked him where I could look at the new trees that had arrived the day before. He immediately said that the new trees would not be included in the buy one, get one free special, and that he had told me that before. I told him he had not stated that before, otherwise I would have made my selections earlier and not kept returning. He said "Well, I'm telling you now!" in the belligerent manner that he does so well. He then stated he didn't want to sell me anything, didn't like me, and to get off his property! This is just a summary. The actual exchange was much worse. I'm not a newbie to dealing with people such as him, but I learned very quickly that you couldn't trust a word that comes out of his mouth. I told him then what I already knew about him from previous reviews and that he wouldn't be getting my business. He said "Good! Get off my property!" I will never again do business with Patton Landscaping, and with Rick Patton as the owner I'm amazed he stays in business. I've heard many complaints about the way he treats customers and does business, but I passed them off as just disgruntled comments. I found out personally what a jackass he truly is. I hope future customers pay heed to what I experienced. I wasted much time, gas and energy dealing with this man for nothing! He'll NEVER see any business from me or any of my friends or acquaintances ever.

very good business they take their time and get the job done right this is a busy company so patience is helpful.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Forgot they had agreed to the job, showed up a day late, and gave me a list of tasks to complete on my own after they left. Never finished the job and left me worse off than what I had started with. Never submitted a review before in my life but people should know about these people.
