Emmaus Lutheran School, a part of Emmaus Evangelical Lutheran Church, is an educational institution located in Fort Wayne, Ind. The school offers various sports activities, such as volleyball, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, and track and field. Founded in 1901, it serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Emmaus Lutheran School s curriculum includes Bible study, mathematics, social studies, English and science. The school s language arts curriculum includes spelling, handwriting, creative writing, phonics, literature, reading and phonics. It also offers classes in music, art, physical education and technology. Emmaus Lutheran School s parent-teacher league supports school programs, as well as organizes book fairs, family fun nights, flower shows and fundraising events.
