First United Methodist Church, located in Fort Smith, Ark., serves children, youth and adult men and women. It offers various services through its ministries, such as Sunday school, weekday school, children s day out, and organizes events, including snack supper, spaghetti dinner, fashion show, Christmas coffee, live auction, fall container planting workshop, women s retreat and fall foliage trip. In addition, it organizes camps, knitting classes, fellowship meetings, and Bible study and worship sessions. The church also provides shepherd shuttle program to assist and offer rides to the people of congregation for doctor appointments. Its parish nurse office offers a healthy weight program and health assessment camp that includes weight, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol testing. First United Methodist Church provides divorce adjustment workshop for those who have lost relationship by divorce and separation.
