Walker Elementary School is a part of Broward County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Walker Elementary School serves more than 750 students in kindergarten through grade five. It is a performing arts magnet school that supports a range of extracurricular programs in music, technology integration, band, chorus, dance, drama, jazz band and art. The school s staff includes teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, social workers, nurses, and clerical and food service personnel. Walker Elementary School provides medical care, behavioral support, and guidance and counseling services to students. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the school s facility has a library and media center and science and computer laboratories.
