Trey Yu teaches piano lessons and violin lessons in the Fort Collins area. Trey began studying and playing piano at age 6 and added violin around age 8. Trey is currently studying Violin Performance at Colorado State University. Trey began his music career when he took his very first piano lessons at the age of 5. After a few years of piano lessons, he moved out to Florida with his family where he began learning Violin in school in 4th grade. During these stages of change in his life, he found a strong passion for music, and it has taken him great distances over time. Trey’s openness to all forms of music and styles allowed him to learn multiple instruments such as Double Bass for his High School Wind Ensemble, and Percussion for his High School’s Drumline. He also has taken Music Theory classes and has applied what he has learned into arranging popular Pop music such as Disney’s Frozen into medleys and Secrets by OneRepublic for Orchestras. Trey aspires to become a strong Violin player so that he can one day play along symphonies such as the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Trey loves to be around all age groups, and hopes to share his passion for music with all his students. Trey can create a custom program to suit your needs!
