The Defense Contract Audit Agency provides a wide variety of products and services to contracting officers. The agency offers a wide range of pre-award and post-award contract audit services. Its pre-award contract audit services include price proposals, surveys, forward pricing labor and overhead rates. In addition, its post-award contract audit services include incurred costs and annual overhead rates, Truth in Negotiation Act compliance cost accounting standards, compliance and adequacy, claims and financial capability. In addition, the agency s auditors provide negotiation assistance, including fact finding and analysis of contractor information after audit procurement liaison assistance. The Defense Contract Audit Agency works under the authority, direction and control of the Under Secretary of Defense and also provides contract audit services to other government agencies.
